Terms of Service

By accessing or using Symbioen, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Symbioen platform, including the website at symbioen.com, APIs, reports, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Symbioen provides independent reliability data, benchmarking scores, and analytics for EV charging infrastructure in Sweden, Norway, and other European markets. Data is sourced from AFIR-mandated National Access Points and processed using Symbioen's published methodology.

The Service includes a public-facing platform, a user dashboard with monitoring subscriptions, periodic email reports, and — for enterprise customers — custom audit reports and API access.

3. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@symbioen.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Accounts may not be shared or transferred without our prior written consent.

4. Permitted use

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without written permission.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
  • Misrepresent Symbioen data as your own or remove attribution.
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform.
  • Access the Service using automated means beyond what is expressly permitted.

5. Intellectual property

All content, methodology, scoring algorithms, reports, and software comprising the Service are the intellectual property of Symbioen or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the Service.

You may share or cite Symbioen data and scores for non-commercial informational purposes provided you clearly attribute Symbioen and link to the relevant page on symbioen.com. Commercial use, redistribution, or republication of data requires our prior written consent.

6. Data accuracy and disclaimers

Symbioen data is derived from government-mandated open data feeds. While we apply rigorous data cleaning and scoring methodology, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of scores and metrics at all times.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Symbioen scores are analytical outputs and should not be the sole basis for investment, regulatory, or operational decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Symbioen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or SEK 1,000, whichever is greater.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be presented to you at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms. All fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

Free-tier features, including basic monitoring subscriptions and public data access, are provided at our discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 6, 7, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
